After Low Price Tablets, Datawind Now Comes Up With Affordable Smartphones


Pocket Surfer 5 also runs on Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich operating system and comes with single-core 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor and like Pocket surfer 5x this version also comes with 2G support. It has a 2 MP rear facing camera and 0.3 MP front facing camera. The battery of this dual SIM phone caters 3 hours of talk time and about 2 days of standby. Outfitted with all useful features the handset is on sale in the market with a price tag of 4999.

The third version dual SIM 5-inch phone Pocket surfer 3G5 comes with a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cotex A7 processor and has got Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS running on it. It provides a wonderful photo experience with 5 MP rear facing camera 0.3 MP front facing camera, as the company claims. In complement to its name, this model sports ability to enjoy 3G mobile broadband high speed internet, HD Quality Video and mobile gaming experience. The gadget is priced at 6999.

Datawind did not reveal much on the specs like RAM and battery, however like its low priced tablets, these Smartphones too are expected to be sufficient for those who seek handsets with large screens which does not cut deep into their wallets.
