6. Against Australian Dollar

1 AUD = 60.74

The U.S. dollar is not the only winner against rupee, the domestic currency has slipped against other currencies like Australian Dollar by 10 percent. The situation has become even grimmer for rupee as the Australian dollar has recently crossed over 60. The Australian Dollar contributes a major of 7.6 percent of world’s daily share. Although the rupee plunge against Australian Dollar is little descent as compared to U.S. dollar, the current exchange rate stands at 1AUD=60.74.

7. Against Singapore Dollar

1 SGD = 53.14

The Singapore dollar was linked to the U.S. dollar for a short time after the end of the Sterling area in 1970s. The currency of Singapore accounts for almost 1.5 percent of the daily share in the world. While in 1996, the exchange rate was 1 SGD=25.160, the current exchange rate is 1SGD=53.14. The currency has recently crossed the 50 level due to the economic downfall in India.
