Sensex Provisionally Closes 464 Points Up
MUMBAI: A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Wednesday provisionally closed 463.63 points or 1.95 percent up.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also closed 146.55 points or 2.03 percent up at 7,368.85 points.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 24,044.96 points, closed provisionally at 24,242.98 points (at 03.30 p.m.) up 463.63 points or 1.95 percent from the previous day's close at 23,779.35 points.
The Sensex has touched a high of 24,280.42 points and a low of 24,043.89 points during the intra-day trade.
