Sensex Opens on Negative Note


Mumbai: The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday opened on a negative note during the morning session of the trade.

The Sensex of the Samp;P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after opening at 23,237.23 points touched a high of 23.241.88 and a low of 23.129.76 points in the morning.

On Tuesday the sensex closed at 23191.97 points.

The Sensex is trading at 23,169.96.11 points down by 22.01.86 points, or 0.09 percent.

On the other hand, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 7,058.75 points after closing at 7,048.25 points on Wednesday.

The Nifty is trading at 7,025.65 points in the morning.
