4. “I Always End Up Spending Money on Others”

Spending money on others and ending up penniless is a very common trait, especially among college students. As “Har Ek Friend Zaroori Hota Hai,” not spending on friends is a sin. If you do not spend on your friends, you will be typecast as the ‘Scrooge’ of the group. In extreme cases, you might even get ostracized from the group. But you should draw the line as to when you should say no. Else you will end up a pauper at the end of the month.

What to Do: You will have to be firm in this case but not rude as you are dealing with friends. Helping here and there and on occasions, involving small amounts of money, is alright. But draining your funds to help your friends must stop. Also, learn to say ‘no.’ This might seem easy but it takes a lot of guts to actually say so.
