Tax on Remittances

Since the income earned by you is outside India, it falls outside the purview of the IT Act. Thus you cannot be taxed on remittances to India. You can send money to your bank accounts in India without fear as it will not attract tax.

You can use this money for any purpose you like. Your remitted money to India will not be taxed until the transfer is reimbursement received against services in the country. This amount will be chargeable for tax.
