The committee’s recommendations have suggested an increase in retail participation in stock markets. The stock trading gains has also been proposed to be treated as capital gains if it is up to 
5,00,000 and provided that the shares were not held as stock-in-trade.
The recommendations made by the committee are been considered by the government and if taken would see some positive results in the upcoming budget for the income tax payers. But these are only speculations and it would only be made sure on the penultimate day that whether these recommendations are considered or not. Anyways, tax payers would licking their lips in anticipation to what is to come. Fingers crossed!
