Diesel Cars: Low of Fuel Cost, But High on Insurance Premium

B) Fitting a kit

If the car owner wishes to add an external LPG or CNG kit then he can carry forward the NCB for the new car that he purchases but the premium charges will be raised by 60 per existing condition. Once the kit is installed in the car one must immediately write to the insurer. Amitabh Jain says that after getting the kit fitted in the RC of the vehicle, the insurer must inspect the car and thereafter the approval the premium is collected.

It is important to entertain the insurance company because if the policy holder fails to do that then the risk claim could be rejected in the future. Vijay Kumar says, “If there is any change in the risk perception of the vehicle, the change in the difference has to be communicated to the insurer and the addition in premium will be levied.”
