Bajaj Finserv Asset Management (BFAML) has launched the Bajaj Finserv Banking and Financial Services Fund, an open-ended equity scheme designed to capitalize on India’s expanding financial services sector. The fund will invest across banks, NBFCs, insurers, capital market intermediaries, and asset management companies, with a portfolio of 45-60 stocks selected from a broader universe of 180-200 companies.

The New Fund Offer (NFO) starts on November 10 and ends on November 24, with the scheme benchmarked against the NIFTY Financial Services TRI. Investors can participate with a minimum investment of Rs 500, and an exit load of 1% applies for redemptions within three months.

India’s BFSI sector has grown nearly 50 times in market capitalization over the past 20 years, driven by digital payments, increased financial inclusion, and supportive policy reforms. UPI adoption, digital lending, and rising insurance and mutual fund penetration have positioned the sector as a key engine of India’s economic growth.

Ganesh Mohan, Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv AMC, said the fund offers investors “a focused opportunity to participate in the transformation of India’s financial landscape”. Nimesh Chandan, Chief Investment Officer, highlighted that the fund will follow “rigorous research and disciplined stock selection”, focusing on companies with sustainable competitive advantages, strong governance, and prudent capital allocation.

The equity portion will be managed by Nimesh Chandan and Sorbh Gupta, while Siddharth Chaudhary will oversee the debt component. The fund aims to provide long-term capital appreciation while giving investors access to India’s dynamic banking and financial services ecosystem.
