Why India Should Have Women Centric Banks?

The main goal of starting banks especially for women is to provide financial help and security to women across the country.
Practically it is said that, most of the Indian women give their earnings to their husbands. As women are considered as a better money saver than men, having a bank account will definitely be a great help.
P. Chidambaram said that the government is investing 
1000 crore and the banks will be set up by the end of October 2013 that will be directly managed by government itself.
"I think a women's bank is a misnomer. There should be a women's only credit line," says Biocon CMD Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw.
Infact, Budget 2013 had given a lot of importance on the safety of women in India. The women safety measures plan was brought under “Nirbhaya Fund” a victim of Delhi gang rape.
