Indian Bank Bags CNBC-TV18 Special Jury Award


Chennai: Public sector lender Indian Bank has bagged the ''CNBC-TV18 Special Jury Award'' in the mid-size banks category at Mumbai. The award was presented to Indian Bank CMD T M Bhasin by Union Corporate Affairs Minister Veerappa Moily at the CNBC-TV 18 Best Bank and Financial Institution awards for FY2011, Indian Bank said in a statement. The special award was accorded to Indian Bank based on the complex statistical and financial matrix evaluation of growth, profitability and capital ratios, it added. Barclays Bank appoints Rajesh Iyer as Director Financial Services provider Barclays Bank today said it has appointed Rajesh Iyer as director of customer propositions and marketing for its Indian operations. Iyer has 22 years of experience in financial services across sales and distribution, marketing, branch banking and customer service, the company said in a statement issued here. "Iyer will drive and shape Barclays marketing and customer proposition in India ", Barclays Corporate (India) Consumer Banking Director Suvrat Saigal said. Prior to joining Barclays, Iyer played several key roles at HSBC for 12 years setting up its retail assets business in Western India, its liabilities and wealth management, NRI marketing functions and implementing sales transformation strategy for branch banking.
