File IT Returns on Time Even If You Lack All Details
Bangalore: Everybody knows that they have to file their income tax returns but some tend to delay, knowing the fact that they have paid all their taxes and can file their returns by the end of this assessment year that is March 2013, and some delay due to lack of proper details necessary to fill the tax form.
As the deadline for filing income tax returns online is approaching, one must file the returns as soon as possible even if you don’t have details, as reported by M. K. Agarwal on behalf of ET.
Failing to file income tax return by 31 July, you lose some of your rights as a taxpayer. In case, you file your return by due date, you can modify it any number of times till the time of assessment but this will not be the same if you file it after the due date which can be a costly error. And thus you may end up losing a few thousand rupees which you paid as excess tax.
