Bangalore: How many credit cards do you have? Today, having a credit has become more like a necessity and is very popular among the young generation, who usually keep three or four card in their wallet. When you go foreign trip, taking an international credit card can be good bet. But excessive swiping it every now and then for shopping, dining, buying tickets and number of other things can overshoot your budget and also invite some unfriendly charges, reports Bimlesh Singh, Investmentyogi.com.

Singh had made a foreign trip during the year, but after he returned back, he was shocked to see his credit statement which was showing expenses increased by 5 to 6 percent. He says, “I redid my personal calculations fearing a mistake, but it reached the same old figure which was 6 percent lesser than the bank statement. When I called my bank for clarification, I came to know about few interesting but not too friendly charges regarding foreign transactions.”
