Bajaj Group Firms Donate Rs 10 Cr for TN Flood Relief


NEW DELHI: Bajaj group of companies today announced a contribution of Rs 10 crore towards flood relief operations in Tamil Nadu.

"Bajaj Auto and Bajaj Finance have contributed an amount of Rs 5 crore each for the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund," the group said in a statement.

Bajaj Auto and Bajaj Finance Chairman Rahul Bajaj said, "We are joining the government's effort to help in relief operations in flood-ravaged Tamil Nadu and provide all support to the affected countrymen in the state."

NHPC's J&K power plant resumes operation * The state-run NHPC today said its 120-MW Sewa-II power station in Jammu and Kashmir, which had been completely shut down for annual maintenance of machines, has started generation.

"Sewa-II power station, which was under complete shutdown for annual maintenance of machines, has started generation at 1616 hours on December 18, 2015," the company said in a filing to BSE today.

The company had on December 8 informed the stock exchange that the Sewa-II power station has been completely shut down for about 20 days due to annual maintenance of machines.
