5. No Signatures

Signatures on Govt documents are mandatory but often forgotten in the tax filer's haste and tension. Ensure that your signatures are placed on ITRs while filing I-T returns manually.

In case of E-Filing, the Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) demonstrates the authenticity of the digital message or document. So make sure that it is attached.

If a DSC is not available, ITR V acknowledgement is required to be submitted manually. The form is emailed to the assessee in a password protected ZIP file a few days after E-Filing.
