Financials: Digitization, new players and consolidation

Digitization is all set to alter the way business is done and it has already to show the effect of this disruption, with banks moving towards the side of higher variable cost and third party tie-up ways. New age players are expected to create displacement in retail liabilities and fee income, with PSU banks of medium size being impacted in a heavy quotient. PSU bank unification and asset quality resolution are being witnessed as long-term positives in this regard. HDFC Bank, Kotak Bank, Equitas and Bajaj Finance will be seen playing key roles in this advancement.
