Lubna S. Olayan

Lubna S. Olayan the CEO of Riyadh based Olayan Financing Company which is a private multinational company and is regarded as one of the Saudi Arabia’s most prominent companies. She has been responsible for 40 manufacturing companies and has also been listed as the “Most Powerful Women” in Forbes’ list. In early 1980s she joined her family business when it was not an acceptable norm for Saudi women to work. The situation is still the same for women in Saudi Arabia and they are considered to be uneducated and oppressed.

Her own company too has very few female employees but she has still focused on her job performance rather than any other gender discrimination. She was also born in the right family and that why she was able to run the business overseas as well in 40 other companies. Now her company is the largest investors in the Saudi Stock market. With her intelligence, skills and determination she managed to handle all the business work. In 2004 she became the first female board member of the Saudi public company.
