14 Excuses Given by a Bad Financial Planner
11. “I Don’t Need Insurance”
If you fall in this category, then give it another serious thought. Remember what Gautam Buddha said - there is no family that has escaped the clutches of death and disease. So, if you think you do not need a health or life insurance, then read this wise saying again. You might be hale and hearty today but old age will make you rethink your opinion. In case of insurances, go for the ones which appeal to you and are appropriate. You don’t have to buy all possible types of insurances. Just keep health and life insurances in your kitty.
12. “I Don’t Have Enough Money for Charity”
For this category, one will have to again go back to another wise lesson taught by Lord Buddha. Remember the woman who had no morsel to feed Buddha when he visited her? She cut a piece of her leg and cooked it to serve her guest, who is no less than God himself. That woman was completely broke but chose charity over selfishness. We don’t need to be so extreme but can learn a lesson from it. Charity does not equate only in monetary terms. It can mean being kind and generous. If you cannot help someone with money, go for other means. Engage is a social welfare group; donate old things and the like. After all, it does not cost to be human.
