The premium for safe and secure vehicles is low, as the owner of such make less claims from your insurance company. You will get a discount of few hundred rupees on your premium if you install some safety device such as airbags, safety locks and antitheft devices in your car.

7. Discount for Experienced Drivers

If you have a clean driving record and have several years of driving experience, certain companies will consider you as a careful driver and will offer you discount on premium.  If you are a young driver who is not well versed in driving, you can still avail discount on the car premium by adding an additional driver in your policy who is as experienced driver.
