You may feel skipping a divorce is a money wise decision, but think twice before declining the divorce papers, no matter how financially broke you are. 

By not being legally divorced, the heart broken couples have to undergo problems like custody battles, difficulty over remarrying and filing taxes, and even there are more issues to work through like late car payments, foreclosed homes (a home for which mortgage loans are not paid in full) and any other personal loans your departing spouse left unpaid that can burn your pockets.
