7. "A Random Walk Down Wall Street" by Burton G. Malkiel
This book was published in the year 1973. This is one book to familiarize investors with the unsteady yet steady pattern followed by all stock markets. He says that stocks markets are usually “efficient” and the prices trace a “random walk.” Still, he adds that no amount of Herculean research can help one determine the exact path of markets. He backs up his conclusion with tons of statistics. To many, Malkiel’s ideals might be a tad bit indigestible and even downright outrageous. Still, the book is a fun read.
