Loves Flying Helicopter
Harrison Ford is a private pilot of both, helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. He is obsessed with helicopter flying. In 1960, he began flight training, but with a charge of $15 an hour he was unable to continue it. In 1990, he bought a used Gulfstream II and asked a pilot to give him flying lessons. He says, “Flying is like good music: it elevates the spirit and it's an exhilarating freedom. It's not a thrill thing or an adrenaline rush; it's engaging in a process that takes focus and commitment. I love the machines, I love the aviation community”, as quoted by Dailymail.co.uk. Ford is also an Honorary Board Member of the humanitarian aviation organization ‘Wings of Hope.’
