Aadhaar Link Mandatory To Make Bank Transaction: RBI


Bangalore: “Aadhaar” is a Unique Identification Number provided by the Government of India to the people who are citizens of India. This card was not mandatory earlier; you could easily prove your address proof with the help of Pan Card or driving license. Now government has come out with some strict rules to minimize fraudsters and help out people in having a safe transaction, reports Economic Times.

Off-late  we do our transactions while shopping, but this transactions is less safe. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has come out with a new security measures by directing consumers to link their Aadhaar card number to your bank account number. This  will help you in having safe transactions at any place.

Regarding the security measures the central bank has added that the infrastructure of all newly issued card will include an embedded EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa)chip and a PIN which will be mandatory and also validation of Aadhaar at point of sales terminals.
