Management Programmes at Unitedworld School of Business

UWSB offers Post Graduate in Management at its Ahmedabad and Kolkata campus; as Ahmedabad Campus has obtained accrediation of AICTE it offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) whereas Kolkata offers Post Graduate Programme in Management with optional MBA. Our programmes are aimed at creating and nurturing value-instilled potential leaders through the incorporation of higher management functions to alter the organization.

Pedagogy

Total program has 36 full-credit modules (each Module is a 30 contact hour program carrying 3 credits) as well as two programs having double credit. These double credit programs are Summer Internship Program and Dissertation each carrying 6 credits. Therefore, it is a 120 credit program.

In Line with curriculum design, the pedagogy emphasizes development of students’ skills and the abilities to apply management theories to find solutions Curriculum Design.

Year I (Sem 1 & 2)

Summer Inetrnship Programme (SIP)
The Summer Internship Programme (SIP) aims at widening students' perspective by providing an exposure to real life organizational situations after the completion of the first year of management studies. The summer internship lasts for 10 - 12 weeks and tests the students thoroughly on their learning. These internships give students an insight into the practicalities of work in the corporate world across various sectors. During these internships, the students undertake projects under the guidance of company executives (project guides) and the institute faculties (faculty guides) who interact with the students on weekly basis. The objective of the internship is to enable students to gain first-hand experience in a particular industry. It helps students with ample opportunities to innovate and challenge ideas imbibed in the first year. It also assists students in being more receptive to market needs, & in deciding their area of specialization in the second year.

Year II (Sem 3 & 4)

Dissertation:
The motive of preparing a dissertation is to expand the horizons of the students about a particular topic. The students are guided by the relevant faculty during the course of dissertation and are supposed to present their research details and results about the selected topic. The students are then assessed on the basis of their dissertation topic and depth of research and outcome.
