The ICFAI University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand (hereinafter referred to as the University) was established under the ICFAI University Act 2003.The University believes in creating and disseminating knowledge and skills in core and frontier areas through innovative educational programs, research, consulting and publishing, and developing a new cadre of professionals with a high level of competence and deep sense of ethics and commitment to the code of professional conduct.
A number of educational programs are offered in management, finance, banking, insurance, accounting, law, information technology, arts, commerce, education and science & technology at bachelor’s and master’s levels on full-time campus and distance learning formats.
The ICFAI University also allows private candidates to enroll in various programs if they satisfy the eligibility criteria. The University does not provide any courseware, nor conduct any contact classes, nor offer any other support services to private candidates. Such candidates have to prepare for the programs on their own as per the curriculum and are required to attend the examinations, as per the rules and regulations of the University. The University has no study centers/branches outside the State of Uttarakhand.
The Placement Team
The placement team looks after the placement activities on a full-time and continuous basis. Staffed by senior professionals and placement executives, the placement team initiates and maintains the University-Industry dialogue and manages the summer internship program and final placement activities. The team evaluates student performance levels and ensures relevant preparation for their corporate placements. Working both at the supply and demand sides of the placement, the team plays the vital intermediary role of matching academic excellence and industry expectations.
A Joint Effort
Placement is a joint exercise between the University and the students. While the University provides guidance and support and network with potential employers, the students have the responsibility to put in the maximum possible efforts to obtain suitable placements.
The MCA Program :
The MCA Program is a post graduate professional program that prepares students for a successful career in the IT sector. It provides an in-depth knowledge in state-of-the-art technologies and applications as well as skills to apply these in the field. It gives the students exposure to the latest developments and tools and equips them to meet the current and emerging demands of the industry.
Eligibility
Graduation (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) in any discipline, with 50% and above aggregate marks.
Duration-Three years
Award
Successful students will receive the MCA degree from the University, subject to University regulations.
