Thangavelu Engineering College (TEC), Chennai was established in 2001. The college is managed and run by Ponniamman Educational Trust and the TJ Educational Trust. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, affiliated to Anna University and the MBA and MCA courses are affiliated to the University of Madras. Every aspect of the colleges has been designed in a manner as to achieve the objectives of the Group in terms of superlative academic standards and the lofty goals of the management.

In a dynamically changing world scenario, college level education makes a whole of a difference in the personal progress of an individual. The objectives of the college have been drawn up precisely on this basis. It is the intent and purpose of this group to instill a sense of grave responsibility into the hearts of these young people.
