About Us :
Sri Sairam Engineering College is established in a beautiful campus of 200 acres, 15 Km from Meenambakkam International Airport, Chennai, India. Started in the year 1995 with three branches, it has grown to nine branches with a total student capacity in excess of 2500. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Initially, the institute was affiliated to the Madras University. Presently, it is a constituent of the Anna University. The college is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution and six departments of the institution have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi.
At Sairam , quality education is more than a philosophy; it is the very essence on its existence. The dedication and commitment with which the students and faculty have worked over the past thirteen years have paid rich dividends and this has made this institute the most preferred one among the student fraternity. The students of this institution have been consistently securing top ranks in the Anna University Examinations. Our placement record too, is excellent.
Imbibed with the message of Shridi saibaba our chairman ventured into the realm of providing quality technical education to both urban and rural students from Tamilnadu as well as other states. SSEC offers a wide range of Under-graduate courses in various engineering disciplines besides offering Post-graduate courses too. 6 under-graduate disciplines of our institution have been awarded NBA Accreditation for a period of 3 years. Besides, we have also introduced two new courses (B.E. Civil & B.E. Electronics & Instrumentation) in the academic year 2007-08 and B.E. in Production Engineering in 2009-10.
