Sobhasaria Engineering College (SEC) was established in 1999 at Sikar, Rajasthan to impart "

education with a difference" in various disciplines of engineering and meet the ever increasing need for competent technical personnel in our country. SEC is in its 9th year of operations, having shaped the future of more than 500 students who are currently associated with leading organizations in different parts of India. The transitions of these students have been gradual from basic engineering to the high profile Information Technology area. Some have joined institutes of repute to further their academic pursuits.

The college is promoted by "Sobhasaria Jankalyan Trust", a non-profit charitable institution

established for the cause and advancement of education in India. With a sprawling campus

spreading over 30 acres of expanse, the harmonious environs provide the perfect setting for an unforgettable learning-teaching experience. The fully developed campus is supplemented by

facilities for outdoor sports, gymnasium and indoor games. Students are regularly encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities which are wide and varied in nature. As a Premier Technical Institute and Centre of Excellence, the college offers B.Tech courses in : Electrical Engineering,

Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering & Bio-Technology. For the management aspirants, we offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in I.T., H.R., Finance, Marketting, Production and Small Business Management. Recently, college has started M.Tech. courses with specialization in Computer Science & Engineering and Digital Communications.

The college has excellent residential facilities for both boys and girls. Artistically designed, well equipped and properly maintained hostels provide a homely atmosphere which helps the students to groom themselves in a holistic manner. Additionally, the spacious in-campus faculty and staff quarters provides accommodation for the teaching fraternity who take care of the student needs on an ongoing basis. Medical support, advanced communication facilities including 1Mbps 24x7 Internet access, computerized laboratories are some of the basic facilities that are available within the college campus for the students and college staff. With the primary objective of taking this college to new heights of glory and developing each "SECiate" into a successful individual, the institution is constantly upgrading its facilities and services for qualitative all round progression.

The college has very strong links with the industry (having being promoted by a renowned industrial house) and continues to receive generous support from various organizations.

SEC provides opportunities for interaction between students and representatives of the Industry to facilitate placement in suitable jobs. The Training & Placement Officer maintains liaison with industries for summer placement as well as final placement of students passing out from the college. SEC also acts as a platform to have dialogue between representatives of Govt. organizations, financial institutions, entrepreneurs & students. A fairly large number of (details at annexure - A) students of 1st batch (2002-03) & 2nd batch (2003-04) of this college have been placed in various industrial/ service sectors. A partial list is enumerated below where our alumni are working. Training & Placement cell also arranges guest lectures, workshops and seminars on career opportunities, entrepreneurship & personality development etc. Some of the academically oriented students have joined IIT's and other institutes of higher learning.
