Padala Rama Reddi Educational Society, committed to the development of professional education, initiated its mission in the year 1988 as a non-profit making society by Sri Padala Rama Reddi with the establishment of Law College.
The law college holds its reputation by securing a top position in the country by producing the best legal professionals, whether it be judicial officers or independently practicing advocates. The Society started Masters in Computers Applications (MCA) programme in 1993 and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in 1995 with the main aim of disseminating knowledge and spreading education across the country by inculcating best practices of current global trends
Admission Procedure
MCA
The admission to the MCA course, under "Category A" seats, is through a State-Level Entrance Test called "Integrated Common Entrance Test" (ICET), conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
70% of the seats under “Category A” are filled by the Convener of ICET based on the rank secured in ICET and as per the rules of reservation in force. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance test keeping in view the rules in force regarding the statutory reservations of seats to various categories of candidates.
30% of the seats under “Category B” are filled by the Management based on the guidelines issued by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh from time to time.
Eligibility
A Candidate for admission to the three-year post graduate course in Master of Computer Applications must have passed the qualifying examination (10+2+3) or equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2 level with 45% aggregate marks in all the years of Degree program put together conducted by AP universities or any examination recognized by the Osmania university as equivalent thereto, However in case of SC/ST students the aggregate marks are relaxed to 40%.
Syllabus
Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a three years full time regular programme offered through semester system, affiliated to Osmania University and recognized by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). Each academic year shall be divided into two semester comprising of 15 weeks of instruction per semester. Each Semester consists of 5 theory subjects and two programming practical sessions except the sixth semester. The sixth semester of MCA course is exclusively meant for real time project work that has to be carried out by individual student in a period of 15 weeks duration.
