Northern India Engineering College, Lucknow is a premier multi-disciplinary Technical & Higher Educational Institution of Northern India has been established in 1999 with a vision to develop professionals committed to excellence.The college is governed by a Board of Governors. The college is affiliated to U.P. Technical University, Lucknow and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra. It is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.), Government of India & Government of Uttar Pradesh. NIEC offers following Graduate level full time Professional programs approved by AICTE & respective National Councils as per program wise requirement, in a affiliation University of Lucknow.

Campus:

Babu Banarasi Das Group of Educational Institutions is spread over 200 acres of land, out of which 50 acres is earmarked for Northern India Engineering college campus with infrastructure worth over Rs.50 Crores (US $10 Million). A seven storied academic block of the college with covered area of 1,60,000 sq. ft., is under completion out of which covered area of 1,50,000 sq. ft. is fully furnished and functional.

The Placement Cell organizes various activities that orients students to face challenges of live situations. Various activities like Personality Development, Team Building, Group Activations and Mock Interview Sessions are regularly conducted for the students. One of the criterion to meet the requirement of the Organizations is to have talents who are exposed to industrial environment and worked on projects. Therefore, special emphasis is laid on sending students for vocational training to industries of repute. The cell makes systematic efforts in this direction.
