Modern Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Kurukshetra was established in the academic session 2008 under the guidance of Maa Saraswati Educational & Social Welfare Trust. The self-financing institute is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, conducts under graduate engineering programs in numerous disciplines along with post graduate business administration program. Modern Institute of Engineering and Technology has got the approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Haryana. The ISO 9001:2008 certified institute has been awarded with ‘A’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The Training & Placement Cell is the backbone of the institute. Besides coordinating training and placement activities, it prepares students for facing interviews through the organization of group discussion and summer trainings. The institute has signed a MoUs with the leading corporate houses like IBM, All Soft Solutions, and Advanced Technologies etc. Collaborations with many MNCs and foreign companies are in progress. They at MIET has tied up with 21 leading industries in the region for imparting industrial summer training to there students for 4 to 6 weeks.
