Matrusri Institute of Post-Graduate Studies, was earlier part of its sister concern MVSR Engineering college founded by Matrusri Education Society in 1981. In the year 1997 MVSR Engineering College was shifted from the present campus to bigger campus making MIPGS a separate entity in the existing campus under the same management for the two professional PG courses MBA and MCA. MCA department was started by MVSR Engineering College, in 1994 with a sanctioned intake of 30. AICTE approval was obtained in 1997 and subsequently the strength was increased TO 60 in the year 2000.
