The VIKAS EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY committed to social upliftment accepted this challenge which resulted in genesis of Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology (LCET) in the year 2002.

LCET is approved by All India Council for Technical Education & Govt. of Punjab and affiliated to Punjab Technical University for offering under graduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, Computer applications & Management. LCET is keeping pace with the increasing need for skilled human resources in the national & international Industry by imparting quality education.

LCET aims at building engineers for emerging technologies the world over with the help of innovative methods of teaching, the students are shaped up into professionals ready to fit in the best of Industries in the country and abroad. Highly qualified faculty, well equipped labs and acoustically designed class rooms help to make learning pleasurable.

LCET is whole heartedly implementing the 3-I program me i.e. Institute, Industry and Interface concept by establishing consultancy, Training & Placement Cell (CTP Cell) on the pattern of international standards in Engineering & Managerial traits. LCET CTP Cell is devoted to cater to the needs of organizations in conducting campus interviews for placements.

LCET CTP Cell was inaugurated on 6 Nov, 2007 by Dr. M.S. Kang, Vice-Chancellor, Punjab Agricultural University, a world known agricultural university. The industry has also responded positively to this 3-I program of LCET CTP Cell & is coming forward for alliances & projects with:
Career Launcher, Ludhiana center.
Institute of Electrical & Computer engineers (India) for conduction of diploma and degree exams.
Subscription to Microsoft MSDN academic alliance.
EXON Solutions for online examination.
The advisory board of LCET CTP Cell consists of renowned academicians, industrialists & bureaucrats with distinguished achievements in their respective fields.

The CTP Cell is headed by a governing body, which comprises of Sr. TPO Mr. V.K.Chadha, Head- Training & Placements and TPO Ms. Loveleen Bhasin. The cell is also assisted by student Placement coordinators who lead a team of placement representatives from various courses of study. The cell ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangements & hospitality for the visiting companies officials.

OBJECTIVE:-
The main objective of TPC is to organize campus interviews for pre-final & final year students with industry & business houses of repute from all over India.

PLACEMENT PROCEDURE:-
Companies are invited to visit the institute by the Placement Cell / Companies can contact the Institutes Placement officers for their requirement
The details of the final year students opting for placement are sent to the responding companies as per their requirement.
The company is assigned a convenient date.
After confirmation by the company, a pre placement talk is arranged on the date.
The company conducts test and / or group discussion to short list the interested students.
The short listed students are then interviewed for final selection by the company.
