The institute is affiliated to the Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar and the courses offered by this institute is approved by the All India council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. At Gian Jyoti state of art teaching aids i.e. LCDs, OHPs, VCR, CCTV, etc. , are being used for enhancing the professional skills of the students.
