All India Engineering Entrance Examination 2011(AIEEE)
All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is held for the candidates seeking admission to Engineering, Architecture, Planning and Pharmacy degree courses in different engineering colleges and institutes in India. The exam is conducted by Central Board of Secone available seats all over India. This counseling is available only for the candidates who stand in merit of All India Engdary Education (CBSE), and Department of Secondary & Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in compliance with the directives of the Government of India (GOI). A centralized counseling system is provided for filling up thineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).

Eligibility Criteria of AIEEE:    

The minimum academic qualification for admission through AIEEE 2011 is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination . Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE 2009 for consideration of provisional admission. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class 12) in 2010 are not eligible to appear in AIEEE-2011. Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.E./B.Tech and B. Arch./B. Planning Courses shall be as under:

Scheme of Examination :

Entrance examination would consist of two papers

1) 1st paper consisting of three parts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of equal weightage with objective type questions for BE/B.Tech courses.

2) 2nd paper – consisting of Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing for B. Architecture and B. Planning. The Aptitude Test is designed to evaluate candidate’s perception, imagination, observation, creativity and architectural awareness.

How to Apply?
One can apply for the AIEEE exam by the online or offline methods. Forms can also be got by post from the office of the Assistant Secretary (AIEEE).An alternative is to get it personally from the regional offices of the CBSE. Other options are the chosen branches of the Syndicate Bank or other Designated Institutions.

Cost of Application Form:
The price of the AIEEE admission form is Rs 450/- for students
of the general category and Rs. 225/- for students of the reserved communities

Rules for Reservation:
Reservation for applicants of SC/ST/OBC categories or who are handicapped shall be applicable as per the norms of the Indian Government/State concerned.This may be improvised on a timely basis.

Important Dates:
Given below are the important dates pertaining to the AIEEE exam.
•Sale of AIEEE Application Form - The sale will begin in the mid of December and will be available until the second week of January.
•Online submission of application - The forms can be submitted from the mid week of November to the second week of January.
•Last date for the reception of application by post - The last week of December.
•Sale of Information Bulletin at chosen branches of the Syndicate Bank - This will begin in the second week of January.
•Last date for the reception of forms with Bank Draft – Mid of January
•Date of dispatch of Admit Card - Admit cards will be dispatched from the mid week of March and this will resume until the end of the month.
•Issue/dispatch of replica of the admit card – This will be done during the first week of April to the last week of April.  This will continue onto the first week of May in case of issue by post.

IIT JEE - IIT Joint Entrance Examination

The admissions to the Undergraduate Programs at IIT institutions for all Indian and Foreign nationals are made through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, is one of the oldest institution devoted to education in various engineering disciplines. Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad, is the oldest institution of its kind in India. The admissions to the Undergraduate Programs at these institutions are also made through JEE.

Question Pattern:

There will be two question papers, each of three hours duration. Both the question papers would consist of three separate sections on Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Questions in these papers will be of objective type, which are to be answered on a specially designed machine-gradable sheet (ORS - Optical Response Sheet) using HB pencils only. Incorrect answers will be awarded negative marks.

Eligibility Criteria for IIT JEE Exam:
•The eligibility needed by one to write this exam is a pass in standard XII.
•Applicants can appear for this exam only twice, that too in the consecutive years.
•Applicants must have a both mentally and physique healthy.
•Those who are going to give their final exams can apply as well.

How to Apply for IIT JEE Exam
?
Applicants can apply for the IIT JEE exam by the online or offline methods.

Offline method:
Applicants can purchase the admission form from any of the Union Bank branches. The price of the form is Rs. 500/- for reserved category students and Rs.1000/- for other categories. Other option is to buy it directly from any of the IIT’s.

Online method:
Students can visit any of the IIT websites and fill the form online. Once you have filled in the details, you can take a print of the form and send it to the concerned address alongside the challan. The fees can be paid at any branch of the Union bank.

Rules for Reservation for IIT JEE Exam:
The reservation put forward by the Indian government are as follows:
•SC candidates - 15% seats
•ST candidates - 7.5% seats
•OBC candidates - 27% seats
•leprosy-cured candidates - 3%

The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE)


The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is conducted for      admission to Certificate, Diploma and Degree Programs. Three different examinations known as NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III are held to take admission at three different levels. NERIST Entrance Examinations are conducted at various Centres located in the North Eastern States of India.

Structure of NEE:
The structure of the NEE differs according to the type of the examination.

NEE I: The Question paper is of MCQ format with objective type and the duration of the examination is 180 minutes. The question paper carries 150 marks and is divided into three parts,
•Physics: 35 Questions
•Chemistry: 35 Questions
•Mathematics: 80 Questions

NEE II: The NEE II again divided into two types, NEE II for the Vocational courses and NEE II for the technology and forestry program

NEE II (Vocational): The question paper caries 150 marks with
objective type multiple choice formats. The question paper is divided into five sessions and the duration of the paper is set to be three hours.
•Physics: 10 Questions
•Chemistry: 10 Questions
•Mathematics/Biology: 10 Questions
•Common Engineering Sciences/ Common Biology Sciences: 20  Questions
•Vocational Subjects: 20 Questions

NEE II (technology and forestry)
: The question paper carries 150 questions with three hours duration. The question paper is divided into four parts and the candidates need to chose either of the part third or fourth part according to their preference.
•Physics: 45 Questions
•Chemistry: 45 questions
•Mathematics/Biology: 60 questions

NEE III: The duration of the examination is three hours and there will be 100 questions with 150 marks. The paper is divided into four sessions and the candidates need to attend each part to qualify for the examination.
•Physics: 25 questions
•Chemistry: 25 questions
•Mathematics: 25 questions
•Branch Subject: 25 questions
For each wrong response there will be minus marks in every examination.

Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility requirement also varies according to the type of examination.

NEE I: The candidates must be an Indian citizen with upper age limit 19 years. For the reservation category there will be relaxation as per the Government rules.

The minimum education requirement is 10th pass or equivalent. The candidates appearing for the qualifying examination can also take the examination.

NEE II: For the vocational program the candidates must pass the preferred vocational stream under the recognized board in the country. The plus two pass out in science stream with PCMB as a subject can apply for the technology and forestry program. The upper age limit of the candidates is 23 years.

NEE III: The aspirants must pass the three year diploma degree from the recognized poly technique institute or equivalent degree with minimum 60% marks in the final examination. The upper age limit is set to be 40 years and there shall be consideration for the eligible category.

How to Apply?
The aspirant can download the application from the official website of the institute. The candidates can also able to purchase the form from the designated centers of north eastern states. The application form is also available at the chosen branches of Axis bank and is also obtained at the Institute campus.The cost of the application form is Rs.750/-.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) :

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination administered and conducted in eight zones across the country by the GATE Committee comprising faculty from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordinating Board - GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.

•Post graduates in Science/statistics/maths/computer application or applicants who are in the last year of these courses
•Students who are pursuing the last year of any of these courses
•The applicants who finish B.E/ B.Tech/B.Arch course
•Those who are in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master’s degree course and Dual Degree course in Engineering/Technology

How to Apply?
The aspirants can collect the GATE applications forms from the banks nearby. You could also pick up application forms from from the Zonal offices of IITs and IISB.

Aspirants have to fill in application forms and send along with a DD. Online application facility is also there. The cost of the form Rs.1000. Online form cost is Rs.800 for OBC and general category students. For SC/ST students the cost is half of that.

How to fill the Form?
Aspirants can fill the application forms cautiously. They must check that whether there is application number printed on the form. It is necessary to quote the Application Number in every future contact with the respective zonal GATE office. It is better to take a copy of the application form. The Application Form will
be stated imperfect if the instructions are not followed. Applicants must darken the bubbles with HB pencils. It is good to follow the instructions mentioned in the form.

Important Dates:
The GATE exam carried out in the month of February. The application forms can collected online on September 4th week. The forms are available until October 3rd week. The application forms can be collected from the GATE office counters at the end of October. Filled forms can submitted online until October last week and offline before November 1st week. The results come out by March mid week.

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology IIST -Thiruvananthapuram  2011

In order to attend the ISAT, the candidates have to be certified passed in Higher Secondary Board Exam in the Science stream with atleast 70% overall score (60% for SC/ST) and should have Indian nationality. Only 156 seats are there for admission in IIST at present with 59 and 58 seats for Aerospace engineering and avionics respectively and the rest for Physical Science discipline. The age of the applicants should not be more than 25 years as on the year of admission.

After registration, the next step is to submit their details in the online application form, for which the details will be made available in the website immediately after registration. Finally, the institute copy of the Challan is to be delivered to the exam authorities in ISAT office by Speed post.

Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination 2012-13(UPSEE-2011):

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) (IInd year lateral entry): For admission to second year (lateral entry) of B.Tech, the candidate must have passed three years Diploma in engineering course; securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate or three years B.Sc degree with mathematics as one subject; securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate as per details provided in the brochure.

VITEEE 2012 (All India Eng g. Entrance Exam)

For Admission (2012) to Undergraduate Engineering Courses and program mes at the undergraduate level at Vellore University (formally Vellore Institute of Technology )

Eligibility Criteria:
The qualification needed is +2 with at least 60% of marks. The aspirants must studied physics, chemistry and mathematics or biology. For SC/ST students and the students hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and from the Northeastern states like Assam, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh a pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% needed. Physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM) aspirants are eligible to apply for all the courses.Physics, chemistry and Biology (PCB) aspirants are qualified only for B.Tech Bioinformatics, Bio-medical engineering and Biotechnology courses. Aspirants attending for the +2 exam in March/April of respective year are qualified to apply. However, they must have pursued in regular, full-time, formal group in the school. AMUEEE 2012 Conducting Body:
Aligarh Muslim University conducts this entrance examination every year for the admission of students to the B.Tech and B.Arch courses.

AMUEEE 2012 Eligibility:
1.The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination or its equivalent under 10+2 examination scheme, from any recognized state/national Board.

2.The candidates need to have obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examination.

Paper Two:
The candidates, who are seeking their admission to Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program, have to appear in the paper two of AMU Engineering Entrance Exam. However, they must have also appeared in paper one. The paper two of the exam is particularly designed to test the aptitude of the candidates in the field of architecture.

AMUEEE 2012 Fees Details:
Applicants may send a demand draft along with a requisition letter to the Assistant Controller (Admissions), Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, 202002,The draft of Rs.100 payable at State Bank of India should be drawn in favour of "the Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh. The candidates should also send an envelope (self-addressed) along with a postage (Rs.90) to the above mentioned office address.The duly filled in application form and draft should be sent to the Admission Section, Office of the Controller of Examination and admissions, AMU, Aligarh. The drafts to be prepared for B.Tech and B.Arch courses are Rs.250 and Rs.400 respectively. The name of the course should be properly written on the request letter.

Anna University Engineering Entrance Exam:
Anna University Tiruchirappalli has been set up as a Technical University by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Anna University on behalf of Tamil Nadu Government holds an Entrance Exam for admission in the professional post-graduate programmes in Anna University for SC / ST Candidates). If they desire to appear at more than one program tests, they will have to pay additional fee of Rs 300/.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have a Bachelor Degree or its equivalent from any recognized university for MBA. The candidates should have a Bachelor Degree in Science with mathematics or Computer Science for MCA and a Bachelor Degree in the concerned subject for ME/M Tech.

Arunachal Pradesh Engineering Entrance Exams:

•The CET is divided in to two parts, the first part lasts for hundred fifty minutes and consists questions from physics and chemistry. Mathematics is the second part for eighty minutes for engineering course.

IMPORTANT POINTS RELATED TO COMMON ENTRANCE TEST
•The application form is a combination of both ICR and OMR concept. Candidates are required to fill theapplication form using blue or black ballpoint pen and
 also for few items candidates are required to fill and shade the respective circles of item.
•The information particulars furnished by the candidates in their CET application form is FINAL.
•Before claiming eligibility for Government seats, make sure   that you satisfy any one of the eligibility detailed. The candidates who do not satisfy any of the eligibility clauses will not be eligible for admission to Government seats.
•If the information furnished by the candidates in the application form or any other documents submitted by the candidates / parents are found to be false / incorrect, such candidate's seat will be cancelled at any point of time during his course of study and criminal proceedings will be initiated by the
Government against the candidate.
•The ward of Jammu Kashmiri migrants are required to appear for the Common Entrance Test for admission to professional courses for the seats earmarked for them by the Government.
•Make sure that you have affixed ONLY your LEFT HAND THUMB IMPRESSION within the space provided on the backside of the application form.
•Before submitting the filled application form to the Principals /  KEA, the candidates should take a photocopy of the filled application form and should keep it with them for all future reference / correspondence.

 for a period of one year.

 From this year KEA will hold ONLINE seat selection process at Shimoga and Mangalore apart from Hubli, Gulbarga and Bangalore for Medical, Dental, Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy,Engineering / Technology and Architecture courses. centers to the rural candidates who appear for CET. The candidates belonging to any category, who get engineering ranks up to 20000 in the CET are eligible to select the engineering seats at Rs. 15,000 + other fee if their annual income is less than Rs. 2.00 Lakhs. Such candidates should produce the income certificate at the time of seat selection. The candidates who have studied TEN full academic years in KANNADA MEDIUM in Government or Government recognized institutions from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka shall be eligible to appear for Common Entrance Test from this year and such candidates need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA. From this year, is organised in the state of Karnataka in 101 selected Specimen copy of the OMR answer sheet is enclosed with this brochure for the benefit of the candidates.
