MIT is a National Board of Accreditation (NBA) accredited college. It is affiliated to UP Technical University, Lucknow and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It offers various Undergraduate and Post Graduate programmes in Engineering and management. Admissions to the undergraduate course is done through the UPTU. Admission to the post-graduate programs requires scores in both GATE and an All India Entrance Exam conducted by the UPTU.
