In pursuance with the policies of the Government of India to start Engineering colleges in emerging technologies in rural areas, the Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS) was established at Ramtek during the academic year 1985-86. All most all departments are connected under LAN environment and are connected through campus wide networking and some departments are linked through Wi-Fi connectivity. The college offers a three year MCA Programme with an annual intake of sixty students.
