C.Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering and Technology (CAHCET) was established in the year 1998 by Melvisharam Muslim Educational Society, popularly known as MMES, committed to the service of the people, has been striving to provide literacy to the downtrodden, underprivileged people.Initially, the C.Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering and Technology was started with three disciplines viz., Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, and Computer Science & Engineering. Then, the college had to its credit four additional courses, viz., B.Tech-Information Technology, B.E-Electronics and communication engineering, Aeronautical Engineering and Civil Engineering. In 2006-07 the intake of students in E.C.E department has been increased from 60 to 90 and in 2008-09 the intake of student in C.S.E department has been incresed from 90 to 120.
