Establishment: 1955
The Birla Institute of Technology was established in the year1955 at Mesra, Ranchi, with a vision to be recognized as a world-class learning institution for engineering and technology by providing the highest-quality academic programmes that foster student development and connect knowledge, practice, and outstanding scholarly research. The Institute has collaborative arrangements with Universities in the USA, UK & Canada. BIT has been catering to the manpower needs of almost all the major sectors of the economy since the last five decades. BIT alumni have made the Institute proud of their achievements, many of whom are amongst the leaders of the Industry, both in India and abroad.
