ASTRAL Institute of Technology and Research aims at serving as a bridge between theory and practice in the field of Technopreneurship.
Scholarship :
ASTRAL Institute of Technology and Research scholarship scheme, aimed at future leaders, technical opinion formers and decision-makers. The programme
would be funded by the Institute Scholarship Office and managed by the Governing body of the institute supporting over 2-3 students annually to study in the institute. Initially the number would be small but would keep increasing as per the growth of the institute.
Applicants for the Scholarship
Features of the Scholarship :Selection through Interview after initial screening If selected, the students have to sign a legal agreement with the Endowment, the terms and conditions for which will be decided by the Endowment providing scholarship
Placement :
ASTRAL Institute of Technology and Research has a dedicated placement cell to co-ordinate all placement related activities. A core group of faculty members under the guidance of the placement officers of MBA, MCA & Engineering program are usually involved in the entire placements process and co-ordinate the industrial training as well as campus interviews.They arrange for the company visit to the institute and manage the campus selection of the students.
The placement departments also manage company visits and special guest lectures from the company personnel in the institute. They would help students get summer and winter trainings into different companies so that they can gain practical experience while working in the real environment of a company during their study period in the institute.
The departments of Institute would help students in securing good and well-paid job offers in good companies. The Institute
with its state of the art infrastructure, most ideal for conducting placement activities, would emerge as a central hub for organizing much such Recruitment drives for the top-notch companies.
Master of computer applications (MCA)
Master of computer applications (MCA) In this course equal importance is given to functional knowledge in various areas as well. MCA (Master of Computer Applications) is a three years Master's degree program. The course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of computer science, with emphasis on applications.
The 6th Semester is dedicated to the project work, to be done in the industry. The three year full time MCA course is not just a postgraduate course, but also a complete professional grooming of the student for a successful career in the IT Industry. The courses are pertaining to modern technology; the response from students is overwhelming.
Internship :
A project (Industrial training) in the 6th Semester of the course for a period of four months is mandatory for all students. The training would be exclusively for software development in either commercial application or systems. The project is aimed at implementing all analysis, designing & programming tools that have been learnt during the entire course curriculum.
Faculty :
The teaching staff is well qualified and is at par with other top institutes imparting MCA courses in India . At Astral, the curriculum is not only designed in keeping with the syllabus prescribed by the University but also includes value-added courses consistent with the current and evolving needs of prospective employers.
