The Society's achievement is in empowering learners and providing them with world-class education coupled with a fundamental foundation in leadership and professional skills to face the new liberalized global economy. The Apeejay Institute of technology has been set up amidst a sprawling campus in Greater Noida. The School of Architecture & Planning was one of the first schools to come up here.
About the Campus AIT SAP:
- The campus, about forty kms. away from Connaught Place in New Delhi is part of the Institutional Area of Greater Noida - a modern, well planned and fast growing city. It shall offer the students' a lifetime opportunity to witness the growth and development of a new settlement, enabling pragmatic visions on architectural ideas, urban design and landscape design. It is well connected to Noida, Delhi and other surrounding areas by road network. Regular frequent bus service is available from N. Delhi/Noida to Apeejay Campus, Greater Noida.
- The School of Architecture & Planning is an integral constituent of the Apeejay Institute of Technology situated in Greater Noida, Dist. Gautam Budh Nagar, U.P. India. The Apeejay campus occupies an area of 29.0 acres with additionally a School of Management , School of Computer Sciences and an International School already functioning.
- The campus also has residential facility for the students and the faculty members, thus fostering a healthy interface for learning.
About The AIT SAP:
- The School of Architecture & Planning is committed to impart comprehensive knowledge and training to create a pool of Architects geared to meet the challenges of buildings/habitat posed by the new millennium.
- The School was formerly inaugurated in October 1999 to coincide with initiation of classes for B.Arch 1 st year 1st semester under the aegis of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra . This pioneer batch, the only one to be affiliated to the University, has now graduated – most of the graduating students currently being successfully involved in professional employment.
- Starting with academic session 2000-2001, the B.Arch. Course(s) have been affiliated to the U.P. Technical University , Lucknow All the new courses are therefore automatically affiliated to this University.
- School of Architecture & Planning has been meeting all norms and standards of education stipulated by AICTE and has been granted regular extension to conduct B.Arch. courses as a result of successful compliance of the norms. At present, the school has an intake of 120 students sanctioned by AICTE in the following branches:
BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE - 60 Students
BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE (Interior Design) - 30 Students
BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE (Building Engineering & Construction Management) - 30 Students.
Inspection of the institute is carried out from time to time by AICTE, University and the State Government who have granted regular approvals for continuation/extension of Architecture Program at Apeejay Institute of Technology, Greater NOIDA. Encouraged by its good performance, the School had entered into an expansion program by way of incorporating two new courses at B. Arch. levels i.e. (i) Interior Design and (ii) Building Engineering & Construction Management with effect from the Academic Session 2002-2003; and is now successfully continuing with these courses.
