Andy also went on to say that enterprises are moving their entire data centers, as well as their entire IT operations, to the cloud. It is still relevant in 2018. Enterprises in the early days of cloud com-puting, went to AWS or Azure to solve a specific range of issues based on distinguishable cloud capabilities such as elasticity, su-per massive storage, geographical distribution/replication or contin-uous availability. These specific set of features were also utilized to fill in a known requirement for Infrastructure or applications, typically very large in scale, with some aspects not easily fulfilled in the datacenter. Cloud is beyond cheaper stor-age / hardware, application ful-fillment, pay as you consume or augmenting one's datacenter ca-pacity. It is the core foundation to leverage technology that can rad-ically enhance the performance and reach of any enterprise. Hence a cloud strategy for any enterprise should look beyond the fringe deployments and consider a well thought out approach covering the current requirements and fu-ture needs in an evolving market place on a continuously massive scale.
