When he notices a leak in his building, he simply wonders and is astonished, but most of the time he doesn't take it seriously because it's just an annoyance. Many real estate developers believe that waterproofing is expen-sive and unneeded. However, expensive corrective action teaches many a hard lesson. Concrete can allow water and other chemicals to permeate it due to its greater porosity. This can cause a building to deteriorate if left unchecked. Since 1991, India has opened up its economy and entered a fascinating chapter of development. Through the relaxation of various economic regulations, India has already glo-balised its economy. As to be expected, the building sector is at the forefront of our economic development; nevertheless, the technocrats working in this sector have yet to grasp the significance of water-proofing and the need to adapt to newer technology.Everyone has recently been discussing green concrete and stop-ping global warming. Global warming and the ecology were signifi-cant considerations even during the Indo-American Nuclear Deal. The impact of the environment on mineral building materials is a natural process that, until recently, did not garner much attention from scientists. The first research on stone weathering was done in Germany around 1900. The issue that has recently come to light is the capillary action that allows harmful compounds in dissolved form to enter the inside of the concrete. This assertion may be expanded to in-clude the introduction of degrading agents in the form of gas or solu-tion. Later, a problem with contemporary concrete construction, steel corrosion in steel-reinforced structures leading to spalling--emerged.This issue serves as a pressing appeal to the construction com-munity to maintain a diverse viewpoint about the inclusion of water-proofing in their infrastructures and other commercial projects. Here is a list of waterproofing solution providers who can handle all of your requirements while also taking into account your financial limi-tations.Emmanuel Christi DasEditoreditor@siliconindia.com
