APRIL 20234Earlier, in the late 1960s many software projects failed. Many software became over budget, thus Complexities of software projects increased. This created a demand for new software that could satisfy the growing requirements of the customer. Wherefore, in 1980s the automation of software engineering process and growth of (CASE) Computer-Aided Software Engineering evolved and saw the widespread uses of software engineering principles. From then on, Software engineering is a rapidly evolving field, and new tools and technologies are constantly being developed to improve the software development process. The most important protocol is to produce software that is efficient, easy to use, and easy to maintain.Software engineering is a complex and constantly evolving field. It is a systematic, scientific and disciplined approach to the development, functioning, and maintenance of software. Overall, it is a high end process to ensure products quality, reliability, and also meet the requirements of the users. It is a discipline and a systematic approach that involves a process of designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software by applying engineering principles to the development of software. It includes a variety of techniques, tools, and methodologies, including requirements analysis, design, testing, and maintenance. The software and applications are developed by using designing and programming language. Software Engineering is mainly used for large projects based on software systems rather than single programs or applications.Although, the software engineering & development industry was in a better position than any other industry when the pandemic hit, yet it wasn't able to avoid spending cutbacks, delayed projects, and staffing reduction. Thus, the tremendous evolution and influence of emerging technologies, various external factors, and new societal demands are leading the way forward for constant change and improvement of the Industry. Currently, the IT sector is recovering: it returned to a growth trend line in 2021 and is forecast to restore and exceed its pre-pandemic position by 2024, with an estimated 5 percent CAGR.Since digital products determine the creation of sustainable and adaptable businesses, henceforth, software developers and IT specialists play a critical role in building the post-pandemic world. A few new trends are leading the parade of software solutions such as blockchain, cloud-native solutions for app development, team management, and communication, a shift from JavaScript to Python, flexible, user-friendly, and deep learning framework TensorFlow, and so on.Meeting & Maintaining the Required SOFTWARE Requirements of the Trendy & Tech Savvy USERSEDITOR'S NOTEsiliconindia Vol 8 · Issue 01 · APRIL - 2023 Editorial Team Akanshah Shiwani Pradhan Samatha S.
