Moreover, even though simulation labs are helpful in providing practical experience, they cannot mimic the actual patient encounters' variability. For example, even at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, where simulation facilities are highly developed, there is a constant need to integrate the amount of simulation with the actual clinical experience.Future Trends in Simulation-Based Medical TrainingIn the future, the following trends are expected to revolutionize simulation-based medical training. New technologies like VR and AR will improve simulation realism and flexibility, providing more engaging and customizable training sessions. The increase in interprofessional education will enable the training of students from different healthcare fields to work as a team, which is essential in enhancing patient care. Also, the use of artificial intelligence and data analytics in simulation labs offers the prospect of individualized and self-learning.
