Increasing hectic lifestyles, long office hours, traveling & traffic, and change in eating habits and traffic, of course, have led people to be short on time and ultimately resort to ready-to-eat food in their regular meals. About 79% of urban people prefer to have ready-to-eat food in their regular meals today. The above factors and the fast-growing urbanization have extensively driven India to thrive as the largest producer and consumer in the packaged food industry.In India, the packaged food industry holds a vital part in households because of the availability of items from milk to instant food, supplements, and other consumption items. The reason for people to choose packed foods is not only due to their cost efficiency and making time but also due to the shortage of localization of certain items. Notably, there is a variety of packaged foods available, be it fruits, vegetables, ready-to-eat food items, herbs, or other consumable items, and where it was easier forthe working class it comes as a convenience to many others too.However, India's rising economy and population drives many industry to profit and growth, in which the food industry of packaged foods holds a tight spot in the market. The Indian government also takes initiatives like schemes such as `PM Kisan Sampada Yojana' which helps in promoting and setting up the business for entrepreneurs and grants 35% of the project cost to the eligible, including 100% for FDI for Processed Food Businesses'. Through this strategic collaboration, Indian brands can gain benefits from foreign brands. With these highly supportive factors and benefits, India has a promising future and many players are in this business established as brands.
