siliconindia | | November 20184Today, India stands only second to China in terms of international student enrollment in educational institutes across the globe. This is largely because of its population of 1.26 billion of which more than 50 percent people are below 25 years of age. Every year more than thousands of students from India travel abroad to fulfill their dreams. The role of foreign universities in shaping Indian graduates into future leaders is all too well-known. Over the past two decades, though the Government of India has been allocating more funds towards the higher education industry to improve the quantity and quality of education being offered within its borders, the capacity has been insufficient to meet the demands. At the same time, with rising per capita income, more students from across India are able to participate in higher education abroad. According to a study conducted by IIM Bangalore, there has been an increase of approximately 256 percent in the numbers of Indian students going to countries like the USA, UK, Germany, Australia and Canada for their higher education. The boundless available options from the courses offered to the students today have made them extremely cautious and choosy in their academics. With more options at hand, the situation arises that there is a need to visit an educational advisors/consultant to seek out information, suggestions and thoughts about picking the right career path.
