You might have to search for from your local drives or computers and submit the same. But, aren't we living in the world of a digital revolution? To digitize the nation citizen's entity, government has come up with the digital locker concept that allows you to connect your citizen entities with Aadhaar card and save on a cloud platform. Through this authentication model, there'll no longer be the rummage to run behind local drives or physical documents. The government of India has already taken the concept of `Cloud' seriously and implemented the vision of `Digital India' based on the cloud model. Digital India was approved in August 2014 and will be implemented in multiple phases till 2018. Digital India envisions creating high speed digital highways, new age banking systems, transparent system with respect to e-governance, digital signatures, digital friendly entrepreneurship and many more. This mission is being conceptualized and implemented using technologies based on mobility, analytics, Internet of things and most importantly, Cloud technologies. The crux of all these projects drill down to breaking down huge volumes of data, and making them readily available to public through digital cloud services.Cloud has played a crucial role in ideating, planning and implementing the Digital India mission. The following are few use cases and functional deployments aided on the Cloud concept: Software Level Collaboration: Digital India aims to create software applications that can be accessed by general public on real time basis. Nearly 1700 government bodies are collaborating to create e-applications. To create user friendly softwares with large scale operability, including multiple departments is possible only through Cloud technology. Identity Access: Through the Digital Locker system, students will be able to upload their degree certificates. Employees will be able to provide their employment documents, public will be able to upload to their identity proofs. All these can be accessed through an e-portal that runs on a cloud model.
