Bhavish Aggarwal, the company's CEO, teased the upcoming e-scooter on his Twitter handle, revealing key details about the two-wheeler.The production-spec ola electric scooter has been teased on social media for the second time. The first images of the scooter went viral on social media in March of this year. Last year, Ola announced its intention to manufacture its own line of electric vehicles by establishing a separate arm for EV development.In the tweet, Aggarwal asks social media users to suggest colour options for the Ola scooter, with black being the most popular, as shown in the teaser image. As previously stated, this scooter will be based on the EtergoAppscooter. Last year, in May 2020, the ride-hailing giant paid an undisclosed sum for the acquisition of Amsterdam-based electric scooter company Etergo BV. The first batch of scooters will most likely be imported into India as full imports from the Netherlands.The next batch of scooters will be produced at Ola's new facility in Tamil Nadu, which is currently under construction. The company had previously stated that it would invest Rs 2,400 crore in this manufacturing plant. This facility will be capable of producing 2 million electric two-wheelers per year and will employ approximately 10,000 people.It is also slated to become the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturing plant. The plant's operations are expected to begin in the coming months, and it will adhere to Industry 4.0 standards.When it comes to the Ola e-scooter, the scooter resembles the EtergoAppscooter, on which it is based. According to the images, the e-scooter will have telescopic front forks. The most appealing feature is its small size, as well as its unusual twin-beam LED headlight with an LED DRL strip around the main cluster.
