While good-looking, durable, and functional cookware is difficult to overlook, these are not the only three qualities to consider when investing in Indian cookware brands.During the pandemic, I used my spare time at home to practise my cooking skills. Besides that, I found out that kadais, pots and pans, grilling and baking equipment can contain a toxic coating that degrades at higher temperatures, lowering food quality. I came to know that cooking food in the proper cookware not only increases its nutrient quotient by increasing its mineral content, but it also prevents nutrient loss by cooking at an even temperature. Therefore, choosing the right cookware is must to entail knowing which foods would interact with which metals, and which combinations could be corrosive or even toxic. It's an intriguing story with a lot to teach us about the tools we use today. And I feel food preparation is an unavoidable part of life, whether you enjoy cooking or prefer to use your oven as extra shoe storage. Cooking, no matter how much fun you have with it, is one of those things that can be made exponentially easier with the right instruction and, more importantly, the right tools. That's how most of us start shopping for and using cookware: bumbling around, trying to make sense of different materials and the functions they serve, and gathering tools from parents and roommates who have seen countless kitchens before ours. Sure, you can toss out your old pots and pans and start over, but if you want high-quality, well-made cookware and dinnerware, you often have to pay up front, spending hundreds of dollars on name brands.
